An exclusive Wally West statue at SDCC 2019

There is no need to remind you that loving Wally West is, most of the time, really complicated, if not incredibly painful. That's, of course, particulary true when we're talking about comics, and let alone the merchandizing. When Wally West returned in full glory, thanks to Geoff Johns, Dan Abnett and the one and only Brett Booth, many readers would have loved to put their hands on a Flash Rebirth statue. At this stage, even a funko pop would been the greatest thing on earth ! Like it's been said, there is no need to remind you that life doesn't always give you what you want ... Well, it might not give you what you deserve either !

But, look at the bright side, when something finally happens, it's like the best Christmas you ever had and we couldn't be happier. And, prepare yourself because, today, the Universe has decided to be pretty generous : You won't get a Wally West statue, but two of them if you can get the San Diego Comic Con exclusive.

As a matter of fact, there is no indication that this Flash is really Wally West, but if we look at the golden boots (without wings or other details), the white eyes and the glowing suit, it sure looks a lot like Messner-Loebs and Waid's Flash. So, just for once, let's pretend it's Wally. It must be. It has to.

In all seriousness, here's the statue's description for the SDCC one, but don't forget there's a regular statue that you can preorder online or at you local comic shop.

Time to enter the Speed Force! This exclusive 9-inch scale PVC diorama of the Flash racing across a wave is the latest in the DC Gallery line. Made from high-quality plastic, this detailed translucent sculpture delivers the look of a resin statue at a fraction of the price and is in scale to all Gallery and Femme Fatales PVC dioramas. Flash Fact: It comes packaged in a full-color window box for display! Designed by Caesar, sculpted by Joe Menna. A Diamond Select Toys release! (JAN198205) Limited to 7,000 pieces.
